The Oklahoma Throwing Athlete Association hosts an annual “Injuries in the Throwing Athlete Conference” each November. This conference is designed to discuss current trends, prevention strategies and recommendations surrounding shoulder and elbow injuries in the throwing athlete. The conference is open to anyone who is involved in the treatment of throwing athletes and we hope to see you there!
2024 CONFERENCE SAVE THE DATE: FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8th
Join us on Thursday Nov 7th at 5:30pm:
- Annual Injuries in the Throwing Athlete Conference is held each November in Oklahoma City.
- Clayton Nelson, MD and Jeff Frazier, PT, DPT hosted the first annual Injuries in the Throwing Athlete Conference on November 4, 2022
- This conference came out of a desire to help spread awareness and education within the Oklahoma community surrounding the treatment and prevention of injuries in the throwing athlete
- Over 150 medical professionals, coaches and athletes gather to discuss current trends, prevention strategies and treatment recommendations surrounding shoulder and elbow injuries in the throwing athlete
- We hope you will make plans to attend the 2024 Injuries in the Throwing Athlete Conference on Friday November 8, 2024.
- Attendants at the medical education program review diagnostic imaging related to the throwing athlete including X-rays, MRI, CT scans and ultrasound.
Participants at the shoulder and elbow lab have the opportunity to perform the latest surgical techniques related to injuries in the throwing athlete.
Each year international students visit Oklahoma to learn the latest surgical techniques.
